The last two summers, we have essentially hung out in the Narragansett Bay with a bit of time in Martha's Vineyard. We also visited a few new harbors, shared time with friends, played a fair bit of golf and enjoyed being with family. Here it is, the middle of October, and we find we haven't added to our blog for some time. So, below is a photo journal of our time. Hope you enjoy!
We drove north from Delaware on June 14, so we missed the protests we would have attended that day, and instead put signs in our car windows; our meager attempt to show our solidarity with the No Kings movement. We got a few like-minded smiles and comments at a large rest area and horns and thumbs up on the highway. The least we could do!
Our second daughter and her family bought a second home in Portsmouth Rhode Island last Fall, a short drive from New England Boatworks, where Dream Catcher is kept for the winter. Our joy this year was to be able to share time with them all summer long. And to be able to stay at the house both during launch and haul. It was fabulous!

New Bedford is the wealthiest fishing port in the US with over 350 fishing vessels, mostly scallop fishers.
The town of New Bedford borders the southern side of the harbor while Fairhaven borders the north. This is Fairhaven Town Hall

Block Island North Light, Rhode Island
We spent four days on Block Island after Labor Day
and rode our bicycles all over the island. Great time to be there,
moorings only $30 after Labor Day!

We walked this labyrinth, which was created in the hope that people would find calm. We did.

What's missing in this photo essay is Granddaughter Penny's 5th birthday party with her Mom's childhood friends and their kids. A special visit from long-time friends Jim and Joanna. Fun times with friends Roger and Chrisy - on their boat
Egret on July 4th, a few golf games and lovely visits to their home on Conanicut Island. We enjoyed time on the golf course with good friends Grace and John, a dingy ride, dinner at their home and out to some favorite gastronomy spots. Plus, a search for the troll
"Iver Mudslider" at Ryan Park - so cool! There was a "fly-in" by Bob and Chris all the way from Haverhill just to see their cousins and have a cold beverage with us! We enjoyed an end of season meet-up in Scituate with friend Renee and another in New Bedford with Kevin and Debbie.

Dream Catcher snuggled up for winter
It was another great summer season onboard
Dream Catcher. We feel so very fortunate to be able to live this lifestyle!
